Not PM Kisan, Rs 1 Lakh Released Directly To Eligible Urban Beneficiaries

While millions of farmers are eagerly awaiting the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana, several residents of Uttar Pradesh have already received Rs 1 lakh each directly into their accounts. This payment is part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban ( PMAY-Urban ), a government initiative aimed at supporting home construction for eligible beneficiaries. The official 2026 beneficiary list has been released, and those whose names appear are set to receive financial assistance under this scheme.

First Instalment of PMAY-Urban Already Reached Beneficiaries

The first instalment under PMAY-Urban has begun reaching beneficiaries across the state. On December 18, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over Rs 1 lakh each to 2 lakh selected beneficiaries. This distribution marked a total grant of Rs 2,000 crore. Under the PMAY-Urban Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) category, the scheme provides funding in three stages: the first and second instalments account for 40 percent each, while the remaining 20 percent is disbursed as the final instalment.

Residents can easily check the status of their PMAY-Urban funds online. The process involves:

1. Visiting the official PMAY Urban portal at pmaymis.gov.in.

Selecting the ‘Search Beneficiary’ option in the top navigation, followed by ‘Beneficiary-Wise Fund Release’.

Entering your registered mobile number and clicking on ‘Send OTP’.

Viewing details of funds released, including contributions from the Centre, State, and ULB shares.

This digital tracking system ensures transparency and allows beneficiaries to monitor the receipt of instalments from the government.

Upcoming PM Kisan Instalment After Union Budget

While PMAY-Urban payments have already begun, farmers awaiting the next PM Kisan instalment will need to wait a little longer. The 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana is expected after the presentation of the Union Budget 2026 on February 1st. During the budget session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will outline allocations for PM Kisan and other welfare schemes, providing clarity on the funds to be released in the next financial year.
