PM Kisan Yojana Update: ₹2000 Installment Release Date Confirmed? Know How to Check

Farmers across the country are once again looking towards the Centre as the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is likely to be credited soon. Over 9 crore beneficiaries are expected to receive ₹2,000 directly in their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

22nd Instalment Likely on March 13

During a recent event in Assam, Narendra Modi hinted that the next instalment could be released on March 13, 2026. Assam Minister Urkhao Gwara Brahma also confirmed that the Prime Minister will visit Kokrajhar on the same day to lay the foundation stones for key development projects.

With assembly elections due in Assam later this year, there is strong speculation that the PM may announce or directly release the 22nd instalment during this visit. However, the government has not yet issued an official notification.

Why Farmers Must Stay Alert

Only those farmers who have completed all mandatory formalities will receive the benefit. If your e-KYC or land seeding process is pending, your instalment may get delayed. Authorities have clearly stated that incomplete documentation can block payments.

When Was the 21st Instalment Released?

The 21st instalment was credited on November 19, 2025. Since then, farmers have been eagerly waiting for the next ₹2,000 payment. Earlier, there were expectations that the amount would be released around Holi, but that did not happen. Now, March 13 is being seen as the most probable date.

How to Check Your Status

Farmers can easily check their payment status online:

• Visit the official PM Kisan portal.
• Go to the “Know Your Status” section.
• Enter your registration number or mobile number.
• Fill in the captcha code and click on “Get Data.”
• Check your e-KYC and land seeding status carefully.

If everything is updated, you can expect the instalment once the government officially releases it.

For now, farmers are advised to complete all pending formalities and keep an eye out for official confirmation regarding the March 13 transfer.
