PM Kisan 22nd Instalment: Will It Arrive Before Budget 2026?

Farmers across India are gearing up for the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana, the flagship scheme of the Modi government. Under this initiative, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, split into three instalments of ₹2,000 each. So far, 21 instalments have been disbursed, with the last one released in November 2025.

When Will the Next Instalment Arrive?

The PM Kisan instalments are released roughly every four months. Following this pattern, the 22nd instalment is expected in February 2026, though the official notification is still awaited.

How to Check Your PM Kisan Instalment Status:

Farmers can easily track their payment online:

• Visit the official PM Kisan portal: pmkisan.gov.in
• Click on ‘Farmer Corner’ → ‘Beneficiary Status’

Enter one of the following:

• Aadhaar number (12 digits)
• Bank account number linked to PM Kisan
• Registered mobile number
• Type the captcha code as displayed
• Click ‘Get Data’ to view your instalment status

PM Kisan Impact So Far

The 21st instalment, released in November 2025, distributed over ₹18,000 crore, benefiting around 9 crore farmers nationwide. Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme ensures direct income support for all land-holding farmer families, with funding 100% provided by the Government of India.

Government’s Commitment

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured that farmers not yet enrolled in the scheme will also receive the full annual benefit of ₹6,000.
