The wait for the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is building, but this time there’s an important update that could affect payments. Farmer ID Now Mandatory

To continue receiving benefits, farmers must now have a Farmer Registry (Unique Farmer ID). Without this ID, the 23rd installment may not reach your account on time. In many states, getting a Kisan ID card has become compulsory, making registration a key step for uninterrupted benefits.

States Where Kisan ID Is Required

Farmers in several states must complete this process without delay. These include:
Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Assam.

If you belong to any of these states and haven’t registered yet, it’s best to act quickly to avoid payment delays.

How to Apply for Kisan ID

Getting your Kisan ID card is simple:
  • Apply online through the agriculture department’s official portal
  • Or visit nearby CSC (Common Service Centres) or special registration camps for offline assistance

When Will the 23rd Installment Arrive?

Under the scheme, installments are released three times a year, usually every four months. Since the last payment was made in March 2026, the next installment is expected between June and July 2026.

This new rule is crucial. If you want your PM Kisan benefits without interruption, ensure your Farmer ID registration is complete well before the next installment is released.
