Train Services Cancelled on This Route: View the Full List Before Your Journey
Railway passengers travelling within Chhattisgarh and nearby regions should plan their journeys carefully over the next two months. Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of several local passenger and MEMU trains in February and March 2026 due to major infrastructure work being carried out in central India.
The decision has been taken by the South East Central Railway, under its Bilaspur Zone, to facilitate essential technical upgrades in the Nagpur Division. These works are crucial for improving long-term safety and operational efficiency on busy rail routes.
Why Are Trains Being Cancelled?
The Railways will carry out RH girder launch and de-launch work for box pushing at level crossing number 481 between the Boratlav and Dareksa section. This complex engineering task requires complete suspension of train movement for a limited period. Officials have stated that once completed, the work will help ensure smoother and safer train operations in the future.
In addition, launching and de-launching activities on the third line will also be completed during this period. Because of these blocks, several local services will remain cancelled, while some trains may face timing changes or short-term disruptions.
Advisory for Passengers
These MEMU and passenger services are widely used by daily commuters, students, and office-goers. The Railways has urged passengers to verify train running status before starting their journey and make alternate travel arrangements wherever necessary to avoid inconvenience.
Disclaimer: Train schedules and cancellations are subject to operational requirements. Passengers are advised to confirm the latest updates through official railway websites, helplines, or station inquiries before travelling.
