Heatwave Conditions Continue in Many States

Large parts of Northwest and Central India are expected to remain under heatwave conditions. The rising temperatures have already made daily life difficult, especially during afternoon hours.

States such as Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh are likely to continue experiencing high temperatures. In many of these regions, dry winds may add to the discomfort.

At the same time, southern regions including Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala are expected to face humid heat. This type of weather can feel even more exhausting, as high humidity makes it harder for the body to cool down.

Active Weather in the Hills

The hilly regions are set to witness significant weather activity over the next few days. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh may receive light to moderate rain along with snowfall between April 27 and 28.

Strong winds with speeds of 30 to 50 km per hour are also expected, along with thunder and lightning. These conditions may affect travel and outdoor activities in these areas.

Himachal Pradesh is likely to see similar weather activity from April 28 to 30, while Uttarakhand may experience rain and storms from April 28 to May 2. There is also a chance of hailstorms in isolated areas, particularly on April 28 and 29.

Rain and Strong Winds in Eastern Regions

Parts of East and Northeast India are expected to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The hilly areas of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may witness strong winds reaching 40 to 50 km per hour.

This weather activity is likely to continue through the week, bringing cooler conditions but also the possibility of sudden storms.

Relief Likely in Uttar Pradesh

Residents dealing with extreme heat may soon get some relief. Rainfall is expected to begin in parts of Uttar Pradesh from April 27 due to a fresh weather system.

Cloud cover and light showers may help bring down temperatures by around 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. This could offer temporary relief from the ongoing heatwave conditions.

Why the Weather Is Changing

The current shift in weather is linked to changing atmospheric conditions, including the movement of weather systems that bring moisture and instability. These changes are creating a mix of heatwaves in some regions and rainfall in others.

Stay Prepared for Sudden Changes

With such varying weather conditions, it is important to stay prepared. People in heatwave-affected areas should stay hydrated, avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours and wear light clothing.

In regions expecting rain and storms, it is advisable to stay alert for sudden weather changes, avoid open areas during lightning and take precautions while travelling.

The coming days will bring a mix of extreme heat and sudden rainfall across different parts of the country. While some regions continue to deal with rising temperatures, others may finally get relief through rain and cooler winds.

Keeping track of daily weather updates and planning accordingly can help you stay safe and comfortable during this changing phase.
