The first-phase campaign line-up includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president J.P. Nadda, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The presence of senior central leaders and chief ministers highlights the party’s focus on giving the first round of polling a high-decibel campaign push. Their rallies and public engagements are expected to cover multiple constituencies voting in the opening phase.

West Bengal is heading into a two-phase Assembly election, making the first round politically significant for all parties. By placing senior leaders at the forefront, the BJP is aiming to sharpen voter outreach and campaign visibility before 23 April.
