Yogi warns criminals: 'Yamaraj will await you', defends encounter policy


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that his government follows a zero-tolerance policy toward crime and criminals.

Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Adityanath said, "If you play with the safety of our daughter, then a yamaraj will be waiting for you at the next crossroads."

He added that this approach is necessary to ensure timely justice for all.

Adityanath's vision for Uttar Pradesh's economy


Adityanath also spoke about his vision for Uttar Pradesh to become a $1 trillion economy.

"Our goal is that, by 2029-30, Uttar Pradesh will become a $1-trillion economy and a $6-trillion economy by 2047," he said.

He said the state's development is crucial to achieving India's larger economic goals of becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2027 and a $30 trillion economy by 2047.

The CM expressed confidence in reaching these targets, citing progress made in the past three years.


Adityanath's achievements and infrastructure development


When asked about his biggest achievement as chief minister, Adityanath highlighted the laying of the Ram Mandir foundation stone in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also spoke about infrastructure developments, including metro projects, expressways, and airports.

"And now, we are going to inaugurate the biggest airport in the country in the next two months, the Noida International Airport," he added.


Adityanath's focus on urbanization and women's safety


Adityanath also emphasized his government's focus on urbanization and housing reforms.

He said they had resolved issues for home buyers, citing how 1.25 lakh people got their houses in the first year of his government.

The chief minister also assured that women feel safer now due to state and central schemes aimed at their welfare.
