Over a span of 10 years, your address or other personal details may change. Maintaining accurate information in your Aadhaar card offers you several benefits:

You will continue to receive the benefits of government schemes and subsidies without any interruptions.

You will face no difficulties in completing your KYC (Know Your Customer) verification at banks.

Additionally, if you require an Aadhaar card for a child aged 5 years or younger—whether for school admission or any other purpose—you can easily get one issued. The Aadhaar card issued to children is known as 'Baal Aadhaar' (Child Aadhaar). UIDAI has made it mandatory for children under the age of 5 to have a Baal Aadhaar. The process for obtaining one is straightforward; you can even apply for it from the comfort of your home. A significant advantage is that obtaining a Baal Aadhaar does not require extensive documentation. A birth certificate or hospital discharge slip is required to verify the child's identity and age. An Aadhaar card belonging to one of the parents is mandatory, as the child's Aadhaar is linked to it. Additionally, proof of address must also be submitted.
