After making a striking OTT debut with ‘ Heeramandi ’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali , Manisha Koirala has been extremely selective about her next project. For nearly two years, there was anticipation around her upcoming work, and now, it appears the wait has finally ended. The veteran actress has reportedly come on board for ‘ Raazdar ’, a film backed by Arbaaz Khan .

As stated by News18, reports suggest that her performance in ‘Heeramandi’ was widely appreciated, leading to a surge of offers her way. However, Manisha chose to remain focused on meaningful roles, preferring author-driven scripts and collaborations with filmmakers who shared her sensibilities. She was also in advanced discussions for another project featuring a younger actor, but the film eventually did not take off and was shelved. It was ‘Raazdar’ that ultimately aligned with her expectations, prompting her to sign the project.

‘Raazdar’ goes on floorsThe film has already commenced shooting earlier this year, beginning with a 25-day schedule in Bhopal before moving to Mumbai for an additional stint. ‘Raazdar’ brings together Manisha, Arbaaz Khan, and Bhuvan Arora , who gained recognition for his role in ‘Farzi’. Speaking about his experience, Bhuvan Arora shared that he had been working with Arbaaz Khan on ‘Raazdar’ and mentioned that Arbaaz guided him on approaching scenes in a way that prioritised emotional authenticity, particularly in moments involving a mother figure.

Manisha Koirala began her journey in Hindi cinema with ‘Saudagar’, directed by Subhash Ghai. She went on to deliver memorable performances in films such as ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Khamoshi: The Musical’, and ‘Mann’. Despite facing a few initial commercial setbacks, she steadily established herself as a powerhouse performer through her craft and dedication.
