Bride Breaks Tradition in a Stunning Blue Lehenga, Earns a Perfect 10 on 10

Bridal fashion has long played it safe with reds and pinks, but every once in a while, a bride comes along and rewrites the rules. Nandini Ghai did exactly that on her wedding day, by choosing a striking blue lehenga and turning heads for all the right reasons.

Fashion creator Chahat Chaudhary recently praised Nandini for breaking the colour code at her Sikh wedding . Calling the look bold and refreshing, she highlighted how effortlessly the bride carried blue, a shade rarely seen in traditional bridal wear, yet deeply elegant when done right. She wrote, “Blue on an Indian bride @nandinigulati_ You looked fabbb."

The stunning lehenga is a creation by luxury designers Falguni Shane Peacock and comes with a price tag of around ₹4.5 lakh. Interestingly, similar versions of this lehenga have previously been worn by celebrities like Tamannaah Bhatia and Alanna Panday, but Nandini made it uniquely bridal.

The outfit features intricate floral sequins, lotus-inspired motifs, delicate butti embroidery and crystal tassels along the borders. Rich brocade work adds depth, while the floor-length veil in the same vivid blue elevates the ensemble into a picture-perfect bridal moment.

Nandini completed her look with classic kundan jewellery, a maang tikka, white bangles, kaliras and a white gold nath. Soft blue and lavender flowers tucked into her bun added a gentle, romantic finish.

Chahat summed it up best, this was a fearless fashion move and a total hit. “Honestly, this is such a hit experiment, and I love it. It’s amazing to see how she has matched the kaliras and white churda with it. Again, a very bold choice. Girls, hear me out. This is your sign to go for the colour you want to wear on your wedding day,” Chahat shared in her post.

Nandini’s bridal look is proof that tradition and individuality can go hand in hand. So if you’re planning your wedding, maybe it’s time to think beyond red, blue might just be your moment.
