Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz 'already had first dance' before Victoria moment

Newspoint

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz "did have their first dance", according to sources. Earlier this week, Brooklyn took to social media and furiously slammedhis mother, Lady Victoria Beckham.

In a scathing Instagram Stories post, he claimed that the former singer had ruined what should have been his first dance with Nicola and danced "inappropriately" on him. The wannabe chef also claimed that Victoria had "hijacked" the moment, leaving him feeling uncomfortable and humiliated.

But now, a source who claims to have worked at the wedding has refuted Brooklyn's allegations and claims that he and actress Nicola did, in fact, have their first dance. They also claim that Nicola had danced with her father, Nelson, before Brooklyn and Victoria's moment.

However, while Marc Anthony called Victoria the most beautiful woman in the room, this is said to have set Nicola off. A source claimed that she "flounced out" of the lavish ceremony while blinking back tears as Posh Spice and her eldest took to the dancefloor.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "She completely overreacted to the notion that she’d been upstaged at her own wedding. She fled the room in tears. Nicola had already had a dance with Brooklyn and her Dad. Victoria was only on the dancefloor because she was invited.

"And it was a planned part of the reception. Victoria did not intend, and was not responsible for, upstaging the bride." They went on to say that Victoria's dance was "theatrical" and not inappropriate. They went on to add that the mood in the room "changed" as soon as Nicola walked out.

Meanwhile, a friend of Victoria, DJ Fat Tony, who DJ'ed at the wedding, also claimed tha the dance was not inappropriate. Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Fat Tony said: "There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions. The word inappropriate - why I said it was inappropriate as well, because it was the timing.

"What happened was - basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage. Everyone is expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance and then Marc asks the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage, then he said: 'Victoria come to the stage.'"

He added: "At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Marc says, "Put your hands on your mother's hips!" It was a latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room."

When asked about what people were saying the morning after the wedding, Tony said: "Well you know, when the bride and groom leave their wedding devastated, word trickles out… and not many people turned up for the brunch, but everyone was talking about it, and how sad that part of it was.

"But Victoria was thrown into that situation, and I think too much has been read into it… in the sense of too many stories being added to it. The dance is a very small part of the bigger problem." On Monday, Brooklyn fumed: "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."

The Mirror approached Nicola Peltz's spokesperson for comment.
