A star of The Hunt: Prey Vs Predator has revealed he was rushed to hospital weeks after filming the Channel 4 show. Nathan, 33, has revealed he was left unable to speak following 17 seizures just weeks after filming the series.

The 33-year-old has functional neurological disorder (FND) and was one of the original cast members for the initial series of the "game of cat and mouse" with a £100k prize. According to the NHS, FND "describes a problem with how the brain receives and sends information to the rest of the body".

Nathan, who is is the founder of peer support network FND North West Community Hub, admitted he signed up for the show due to his condition. He stated he didn't want to let it stop him living his life.

Sadly, he was the first to be given the boot on the show. And he has revealed he had a flare up of his health issue and was hospitalised shortly after filming. He confirmed, however, that it had nothing to do with taking part in the series. Speaking to Daily Mail, Nathan said he was first diagnosed in August 2024. The dad-of-six had initially ignored symptoms of NFD when they first appeared in 2022.

He told the publication: "At the time, I was just getting left hand side weakness, and I was having seizures, but I was still working, and day to day living normally, shall we say?

"So, I think it was just for me to prove that I could still do it, which we fast forward to where we are now, and that's not the case." And he said he didn't see a neurologist again until another flare up left him hospitalised for three months. "'That happened on June 4 2025, so literally a week or two after filming The Hunt. Which is just crazy," he said.

He admitted after that moment his life changed forever. "We'd gone to the spa for my wife's 40th birthday, just having a really relaxing day, and then we went up to the hotel room, I had 17 seizures within an hour, and was blue lighted into Blackpool Victoria, at which point I couldn't speak, couldn't say a word, and I was paralysed from the hip down on the left hand side."

He explained that after three months in hospital and rehab, he had to learn to walk and talk again. Nathan now uses a Zimmer frame to get about his home and said he needs to be in a wheelchair if he goes out.

He went on to praise the show for looking after him when he had a seizure during a break in filming too. "'I must say, every single member of the production crew and everything, they really looked after me, and they couldn't have done enough," he said.
