'Dacoit' box office collections day 11: Adivi Sesh film drops sharply; Overseas total crosses Rs 13 crore

The box office journey of ‘Dacoit’ has hit a noticeable slowdown after a steady first week. The Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur starrer witnessed a sharp fall of 72.6 percent in collections on its eleventh day.



After showing some recovery over the weekend, the film’s Monday performance indicates fading momentum.

After collecting over a crore on Sunday, the film’s Day 11 performance slipped drastically and this marks one of the biggest single-day declines for the film so far.

Total collections inch past Rs 50 crore worldwide Even with the recent dip, ‘Dacoit’ has managed to build a decent cumulative total across markets. Domestic earnings have crossed the Rs 30 crore mark in net terms while gross figures in India are nearing Rs 38 crore. International markets have contributed over Rs 13 crore, pushing the film’s global total beyond Rs 50 crore.


Occupancy levels for 'Dacoit'The film recorded an overall occupancy of 14.01% on the day with morning shows at 10.58% and afternoon shows at 13.08%. Evening and night shows also stayed low at 10.42% and 10.83% respectively. The film ran across 1,108 shows on Monday, lower than earlier days.

Adivi Sesh shares emotional fan encounter

Amid the box office updates, Adivi Sesh spoke about a deeply personal interaction with a fan during a promotional event as reported by Cinema Express.

"He (fan) said he had been attacked by a group of people and was hospitalised for a long time. After that, he was scared to step out. He told me that watching ‘Major’ gave him the courage to face life again,” Sesh said.

He further recalled, “The first thing he did after coming out was watch this film (Dacoit). He said he loved it and had come specially to meet me.”

Reflecting on the moment, Adivi Sesh added, “At that moment, I realised that while we keep thinking about cinema and business, we sometimes forget humanity. He reminded me of that, and also of why I make films,” he said.

He also mentioned receiving an Indian flag from fans, describing the gesture as deeply meaningful. “Success comes only with hard work,” he added.


Coming back to 'Dacoit', it seems that the actioner needs a strong push to attain 'Blockbuster' status.
