'Emo Emo Idi' teaser: Roshan Meka and Preity Mukhundhan star in the upcoming Sailesh Kolanu's romance drama

Actor Roshan Meka , recently seen in the sports drama film ‘Champion,’ will star in the upcoming romance drama ‘ Emo Emo Idi ,’ helmed by ‘HIT’ fame Sailesh Kolanu . He will be paired opposite Preity Mukhundhan . Today, on Valentine’s Day, the makers shared the teaser of the film.

Teaser of ‘Emo Emo Idi’The 3-minute 36-second teaser opens with Roshan Meka as Abhay, who is seen having a funny conversation with his mother while they have coffee in a beautiful open cafe. They discuss love and marriage in a funny way. The mother asks Abhay why he is single and not in a relationship. To which Abhay responds by talking about what Gen Z dating looks like.

Introducing Preity Mukhundhan as ApurvaSitting on the other side of the cafe, a girl is shown listening to an old romantic song on her phone, revealing her soft and emotional side. She is further shown working on her computer; a camera is also visible, suggesting photography is her hobby. Preity Mukhundhan’s character is revealed as Apurva. Later, after Abhay sees her and asks the waiter about her, it is revealed that she owns the cafe. The title ‘Emo Emo Idi’ itself sounds playful and romantic. It gives happy vibes from the first second.

Sharing the teaser, the makers wrote, “Here’s the first breeze of #EmoEmoIdi. With this film, we’re bringing a rom-com that feels fresh, fun, and deeply relatable! Breezy. Romantic. Feel-good. A Dussehra 2026 Release.”

After ‘Champion,’ where Roshan played a serious role, he now returns in a light and fun love story. Preity Mukhundhan, who debuted in ‘Kannappa’ opposite Vishnu Manchu, plays the female lead. The music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab .
