The luster of silver has also dimmed somewhat today. On one hand, crude oil prices have surged past $110 per barrel, fueling fears of rising inflation. Amidst these inflationary apprehensions, the likelihood of the US Federal Reserve cutting interest rates also appears to be diminishing. When interest rates remain high, investors typically prefer to invest their capital in fixed-return instruments—such as bonds or fixed deposits—rather than in gold and silver.

The price of 18-carat gold has also witnessed a decline of ₹330 per 10 grams today; its current price is ₹1,11,890 per 10 grams.
