Though she is gradually strengthening her place in movies, Kamra credits television for teaching her the true meaning of fame. In a recent interview with TOI, she explained why TV will always remain close to her heart.

“My TV experience has definitely come in handy. The principles of screen acting are more or less the same everywhere, the technical aspects don’t change. In fact, TV is a great training ground. The way TV actors can do lines on the spot—I challenge anyone else to do that. To be able to hit the mark and improvise instantly, often within a minimal number of takes, is the strength of a TV actor,” she shared.

Kritika calls TV a volume gameCalling television a “volume game,” she added, “It’s quantity over quality, so you’re doing so much every day that you are bound to get better. Television actors are producers’ actors.”

Reflecting on the enduring affection she receives from viewers, Kritika said, “I feel lucky that even today so many people come up to me and say, ‘We used to watch you on that show.’ I still get a lot of love for my work on television, which is why I never disowned it. I wear it very proudly. TV has made me who I am, and people still remember my shows. I don’t miss it (the stardom) because I have seen the best of it. It happened to me when I was very young.”
