Jaw-dropping accusations from the Peatys and Ramsays as Gordon breaks silence
From fallouts over outfits and being snubbed from the guest list, Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty's magical day was overshadowed by a bitter fall out with the groom's family. The Olympic swimmer married renowned TV chef Gordon Ramsay's daughter in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey, but left his family reeling over being uninvited to his big day.
It was one of the most talked-about weddings in the showbiz calendar but it didn't come without heartache. The bitter feud ignited when the wider Peaty family was not invited to the couple's engagement bash, and culminated in Adam's own mum Caroline being banned from the hen do and wedding.
It soon became a tit for tat with Caroline sharing her side of the story, saying her son is "in Gordon Ramsay's clutches". Meanwhile, over in the Ramsay camp, it seems battle lines were drawn.
In a new interview, Gordon hit back: "It’s just upsetting. It’s all self-inflicted from their side, because we’ve done nothing – none of what you’ve read: no rudeness, no ignorance – we welcomed them," he said.
Talking to MailOnline, the TV star said things can be resolved. ‘"I would like to go up to Nottingham with Tana and see them and draw a line in the sand."
"It was Adam and Holly’s wishes for them not to attend and so we had to respect that. There’s stuff they need to sort out as parents. That’s nothing to do with Tana and me. But we are very mindful we want to move on and allow Holly and Adam to continue starting their lives together."

The heartbroken mum has said that she feels like the Ramsay's "are pulling him away from me", dubbing them a "very insular" family and aware of how different her world is to the Ramsay's.
But for Adam's part, he has insisted on social media that there "are always two sides to every story", insisting, "I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times."
The feud reached its crescendo on December 27 when the wedding went ahead without Adam's distraught mum. And while all eyes were on the guest list and designer dresses, behind the scenes, yet more fuel was being poured onto the fire.
Hen do snubsGordon and Tana Ramsay have hit back at claims that Caroline was barred from attending Holly Ramsay's glitzy hen do at the swanky Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
The 59-year-old ended up staying at home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, to look after her five-year-old grandson George, who Olympic swimmer Adam shares with his ex Eirianedd Munro.
This was despite Holly's own mother Tana Ramsay being included, as well as close family friend Victoria Beckham. But her future mother-in-law was apparently left out from the family event.
Insiders claim the bride had banned her mother-in-law from her hen do because she "might have stuck out a bit." A source close to Holly, 25, suggested the reasoning behind the decision. They said: "The Ramsays are rich and they like the nicer things in life because they can afford it. On the other hand, the Peatys are far less polished. Adam has a starry new life now and it seems he has left his family behind."
Another friend added: "You only have to look at the picture to see that there is a certain 'type'. They all look the same and you wonder if Caroline might have stuck out a bit. She's a normal woman, not a celebrity. You look at Holly’s Instagram and it’s all so planned, so super-glam and very, very showy. That's not Caroline."
Caroline's sister - and Adam's aunt - Louise Williams, has since vented her anger at 25-year-old Holly, whom she accused her of being "divisive and hurtful" in a public social media post.
In a new interview, Gordon has hit back at the claims, adding: "It’s just upsetting," adding that the family sent a chauffeur-driven car for them to come to the engagement party, and claiming they treated the Peaty's 'like royalty'.
He said: "It’s all self-inflicted from their side, because we’ve done nothing – none of what you’ve read: no rudeness, no ignorance – we welcomed them. We sent a chauffeur-driven car for them to come to the engagement party and treated them like royalty. So to get that barrage of press was very hurtful. Tana took it very seriously."
Peaty's uninvited from the weddingIt's said that initially Caroline and her husband were invited to the wedding, along with other family members, and she excitedly bought a dress. But Adam and Holly reportedly didn't like it so offered to buy her a new one they did approve of. Adam, who'd generously offered to pay for her dress, shoes, nails, and hair allegedly ruled out her favoured cream outfit - pointing out how close it would be to Holly's white dress.
"He [Adam] told me 'Only a bride wears white,' to which I replied, 'It's not white, it's cream'," she told MailOnline. Caroline said she returned the dress, but kept another gold two-piece along with a matching fascinator and shoes that cost her £452. She claimed she managed to afford the dress after selling some things on Vinted.
Since then the relationship has gone from bad to worse. A family source said it was 'disgusting' that Adam went ahead with the wedding without reaching out to his parents beforehand, according to The Sun on Sunday, with the only member of the Peaty family attending was Adam's sister Bethany who was a bridesmaid.
Adam's brother, James, had been set to be a groomsman on the big day, but he, too, was uninvited. It's claimed that Adam's sibling had allegedly sent threatening messages to the swimmer and reports suggest Adam believed his parents were taking his brother's side.
And just moments before Adam and Holly exchanged vows, he received a heart-wrenching text from a family member who criticised him for not inviting his mother to the wedding. Adam, who was snapped walking into the abbey holding the hand of his five-year-old son George was sent the text from his aunt Louise.
Louise, who was also not invited to the wedding, reportedly told Adam: "I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame. Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams," MailOnline reports.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gordon said he "burst into tears" when he saw Holly in her dress, but admitted the pressure beforehand was "insane."
He said: "The 45-minute drive was a beautiful father-daughter moment. We were just talking, in this little cocoon. Then we got to Bath Abbey, the car door opened and I felt like we were in the middle of Wembley Stadium with England playing Scotland. The screaming, the shouting.’
He added: "Just like any kitchen, I wanted it perfect for Holly, Adam, Tana and every guest. The pressure was insane.’
Gordon's wedding speech digsThe TV chef held no prisoners when it came to his father-of-the-bride speech at the wedding breakfast. The 59-year-old allegedly gushed over how beautiful his daughter looked, telling Adam he was a "lucky man" and said to look at Tana, his wife and Holly's mum as it's what he has "to look forward to". "Shame you don't have the same," he allegedly told Holly following the toxic fall out with her in-laws. In a move bound to have pained Adam's own mum, Gordon then told Adam that Tana would be an "amazing mum" to them both.
Reflecting back on the day, Gordon told Daily Mail: "I was told we were accused of saying inappropriate things," as it was reported Caroline had taken offence at what she saw as an unfavourable comparison with Tana.
He added: "Nothing at all was said that was inappropriate, I promise you. I was very warm, very witty. I talked about when they first met. I was nervous, hearing the words no father would ever want to hear, "Your daughter’s gone on a date with the world’s best breaststroker. We knew something big was going on when she came home and all we could smell was chlorine.”’
