Josh O'Connor admits THIS 'Knives Out' scene with Josh Brolin scared him: 'I was so nervous that day'

‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ is here, and actor Josh O'Connor is spilling the beans about all that went down behind the scenes. In a recent interview, the star admitted that during the filming, he was scared of doing a specific segment with fellow Emmy-winning star, Josh Brolin.

Josh O’Connor gets candid about working with Josh BrolinO’Connor, who is best known for his appearance in ‘The History of Sound’ and ‘La Chimera’, recently shared the behind-the-scenes deets from the sets of ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.’ He revealed that one of the scenes from the film, featuring him and Brolin, made him nervous and scared.

Brolin and O’connor’s characters in the movie become each other’s nemesis, and have multiple confrontational scenes throughout the film. Recalling meeting the actor and working with him for the first time, O’Connor admitted that, “He (Josh Brolin) is one of my favourite actors in the world, so I was so nervous that day.”

He further revealed that their first scene together did not go that great; however, Brolin helped him and took him ‘under his wing’ for the remainder of the filming. He further shared details about filming their first scene together, citing that “Josh's coverage was incredible. I did a few takes, and I just wasn't getting it. I didn't feel comfortable. We ran out of time, and I actually had to call Rian that night and say, 'Look, Rian, I know we haven't got the time, but if there's any way we can go back and shoot my coverage again, because what Josh did was so special and I was too overwhelmed, I couldn't match it.’”

The actor also revealed that one of the reasons why he was so nervous with Brolin may also have been due to the fact that he was the last star to join the sets of the film.
