The Princess of Wales stole the show as she made a return to royal Easter celebrations, but not in a brand new outfit.

Kate had missed out on the traditional Easter Sunday service for the past two years but today joined Prince William and their three children to lead the royals at the ceremony in Windsor Castle.

William and Kate missed the service last year as they were spending the weekend with their children in Norfolk, and they were absent in 2024 as it came just over a week after Kate released an emotional video message disclosing that she had started a course of preventative chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.

Today, Kate was seen waving as she and William, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis walked down the hill towards St George's Chapel for the service. She wore an oatmeal-coloured dress from the brand Self Portrait that featured two very distinct pineapple symbols on the jacket.

Kate previously wore the same outfit on a visit to the Royal College of Midwives and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2022. At the time, many speculated the symbols were a hidden message as the fruit has become a symbol of hope for those struggling with infertility. She teamed the dress with a hat from Juliette Millinery.

Following them were Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, as well Prince Edward and his son James, Viscount Severn. Also among the royal party was Peter Phillips and his wife-to-be Harriet Sperling, who announced earlier this week they would be marrying in June.

The Easter outing marks the first formal family event Harriet has appeared at, with her daughter Georgina, 15, joining Peter's daughters Savannah and Isla. Charles and Camilla, dressed in a red wool dress and coat by Fiona Clare, a hat by Phillip Treacy and a broach which belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, arrived by car to shouts of 'God Save the King'.

They were greeted outside the chapel by their family before they headed inside for the service, with the King playfully tapping seven-year-old grandson Louis on the shoulder as they went inside. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were not in attendance, having received agreement from the King to make alternative plans.

Last year, Charles and Camilla were joined by the former Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson at the 15th century chapel on Easter Sunday. Since then, Andrew has been stripped by the King of his right to be a prince and his Dukedom over his association with notorious paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein. He was later arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Beatrice and Eugenie, who are the King’s nieces and have kept their titles as princesses, joined the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham in December. It is understood they will be at family celebrations in the future.
