Katie Price's ex lashes out 'she's made a career out of talking about her relationships'
One of Katie Price's exes has publicly lashed out at the star as she celebrated her ninth engagement. Gareth Gates, who met the glamour model when he was 17 and she was 25, has accused Katie of making "a career out of talking about her relationships".
The Pop Idol runner-up had a brief fling with Katie when he was 17, and she was 25 and six months pregnant at the time. At the time, he denied that they'd had a relationship, but admitted it over ten years later. Speaking to The Mirror, he explained why he refuses to discuss their past and addressed the fact that Katie still talks about it.

"At the time, I was only 17, and it was the worst thing," he shared. "I don't seek publicity. I would never talk about intimate details out of respect. Katie's made a career out of talking about relationships – that's her thing. I just roll my eyes and go, 'That's Katie.'"
Gareth and Katie, who recently revealed that she is engaged just weeks after splitting from JJ Slater, have quite an acrimonious relationship. The bad blood between them is thought to have started when Gareth denied sleeping with her.
He later admitted he did and explained: "I denied the whole Jordan thing because I was 17. I didn't want my family to find out about my sex life." The singer said: "If I hadn't lied it wouldn't have been a big deal, my family, friends and fans wouldn't have felt as let down I guess."
Katie has since claimed that her relationship with Gareth is what started his career. In her 2021 book, Harvey and Me, she wrote: "Hello Gareth Gates! He wanted a bit of Pricey - even when I was six months pregnant.
"He denied losing his virginity to me at first, but once he finally admitted it, wasn't that when his career started? Anyway, swiftly moving on..."
In September, Katie spoke about Gareth publicly again. He was reported to have been left fuming after she spoke about him on her tour with Kerry Katona.
During her tour with close friend Kerry, Katie did a show in Gareth's hometown of Bradford. There, after hecklers kept bringing him up, she yelled: "F*** Gareth Gates".
A source told The Sun that Gareth was "furious" but not surprised when he heard what happened. They said: "He knows there is a risk that Katie will bring him up every time she goes on stage, and it's always horrible. It never gets any easier."
They added that while he's moved on with his life, he feels Katie is "using his name" for headlines. According to the source, sleeping with Katie is "his biggest regret".
Katie has since moved on, most recently with Lee Andrews. The entrepreneur and CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel announced his engagement to Katie on 23 January.
