Katie Price's sister said 'absolutely not' in love life warning days before engagement news
Katie Price’s sister Sophie said “absolutely not” after hearing the former glamour model was on the hunt for a new husband just weeks after breaking up with JJ Slater. The conversation came mere days before Katie, 47, announced she was engaged to a mystery man.
The lavish Dubai proposal is the ninth time that mum-of-five Katie has been engaged. From those engagements she has walked down the aisle three times, with Peter Andre, Alex Reid, and latterly Keiran Hayler.
During a conversation on the Katie Price Show podcast, which was recorded on Monday, Katie told her sister she had been “manifesting” a new man. Sophie however urged Katie to take “time to yourself”.

Katie said: “I’m manifesting, I’ve got such good work coming up, all I need now, I’m in no rush, is to fit in my life my Richard Gere, that’s all I want. I’ve been saying it all year”
Sophie replied: “Mum called me last week and was like, ‘I’ve spoken to Kate’, and I was like, ‘Oh God, now what’, and she was like, ‘She said she wants a Richard Gere type’, and I went, ‘Absolutely not, you need a break, you need time to yourself’.”
Sophie went on to joke she should start referring to her sister as Vivian, a nod to Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman character Vivian Ward, a Hollywood sex worker. Katie however added: “I won’t have to be paid for sex.”
Earlier this evening Katie shared pictures of the lavish proposal on her Instagram page. She uploaded a snap of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai with an emoji of a ring.
A top-of-the-range suite at the luxurious complex can cost almost £20,000 a night. Alongside the post she said her Richard gear [sic] swept off my feet".
The model added that “manifesting does work”. Among the images shared by Katie was one of a huge diamond ring.
In another she was standing in a hot tub surrounded by rose petals. As well as love hearts complete with tea lights, Katie was seen standing beside petals which read out "Will You Marry Me? Katie".
Another image showed Katie holding a man’s hand that had her name tattooed on it. As well as her three marriages, Katie has agreed to marry Warren Furman in 1996, Scott Sullivan in 2004 and Leandro Penna in 2012.
In 2018, Kris Boyson's proposal was accepted and Carl Woods' too in 2021. However, Katie never made it down the aisle with the men.
Katie reportedly split from ex-boyfriend JJ Slater, 32, weeks ago. Sources said the problems in their relationship had become “too obvious to ignore”, with Katie saying: “There’s no hard feelings, there’s no animosity.”
Katie is mum to eldest son Harvey Price, son and daughter Junior and Princess Andre, and youngest children Jett and Bunny Haylor.
