LPG Shortage: If you are waiting for a cylinder, then do this, the government has come up with a new...
There's an LPG crisis due to the Iran war, but the government has assured people that everyone will get gas. Sujata Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said, "The situation remains concerning, but improvements are rapidly occurring. If you need gas, use online booking and wait for the cylinder to be delivered to your home instead of lining up at distributors."
Sujata Sharma stated that the government is closely monitoring the LPG situation. It is a matter of relief that 93 percent of bookings are now done online or through digital means, while only 7 percent are being done manually.
All three major gas companies have made available several digital mediums for the convenience of customers.
What should commercial users do?
Along with domestic consumers, the government has also made arrangements for commercial use to reduce the pressure of LPG demand. Partial supply of commercial LPG has been ensured to all the states. Around 15 states and union territories have issued allocation orders, prominent among them are Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand.
