'Mega 158' buzz: Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal to join hands for an action film; reports
Exciting news for fans! Mohanlal and Chiranjeevi will reportedly be seen together in the action film 'Mega 158'.
Bobby Kolli directs the movie. The team up is not yet officially confirmed by the makers yet.
Gangster action with emotion According to Pinkvilla reports, the film is said to be a gangster action drama with a strong emotional base. Mohanlal is expected to appear in a very key role. The main attraction is the pairing of two big stars in one film.

Mega 158 will mark the second collaboration between director Bobby Kolli and Chiranjeevi who earlier worked together in the 2023 film 'Waltair Veerayya' which turned out to be a superhit. Because of 'Waltair Veerayya' success expectations are high for this new project as well.
Malavika’s clarification
Earlier Actress Malavika Mohanan has denied reports that she is part of the film. She said on social media that while she would love to share screen space with Chiranjeevi sir she is not part of this project and the circulating news is false. She wrote on social media, "Hi guys, so there are a lot of reports circulating online that I'm a part of Mega 158 helmed by Bobby sir. While I would love to share the screen with the iconic Chiranjeevi sir at some point in my career, I just wanted to clarify that I'm not a part of this project and the reports are false."
Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal's 'Lucifer' connection
Chiranjeevi had earlier acted in the Telugu remake of Mohanlal’s film 'Lucifer'. The Telugu remake was titled 'GodFather'.
During a press event Chiranjeevi said about making changes to the original film which was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Chiranjeevi said that he was not completely impressed with 'Lucifer' even after watching the action drama many times.
"Only after Raja made some changes to the screenplay did I feel confident enough to do the film. 'Godfather' will keep the audience engaged throughout. They won’t feel dull at any point. I’m sure it will satisfy everyone,” Chiranjeevi said.
'Godfather' received mixed reviews from the audiences and turned out to be an underperformer at the box office even with the inclusion of Salman Khan in a cameo role.
