Naina Gupta on playing Devika in Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi
Actress Naina Gupta, best known for her role in Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, is all set to captivate audiences once again with her performance in Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi. She joins the cast as Devika, a character that holds great emotional depth and importance in the storyline.
“Devika is one of the most important roles in the story,” Naina shares. “I play the eldest daughter in the family — Kishori Shahane and Vinod Kapoor are playing my parents. The audience will get to explore more about Devika’s past, her love life, and her struggles over time.”

She adds, “Apart from me, the story also revolves around Manjeet Makkar as Krishna, who plays my son, and Divyaa Patil as Khushi. I’m really excited and looking forward to it. This is one of the biggest opportunities in my acting career.”
Talking about her character’s complexity, Naina reveals, “I’m getting to play different emotions in one role. Devika is a positive character but a partial amnesiac. She loves her son deeply, but after an accident, her memory is stuck in the past — with little Krishna. So now she doesn’t even recognize her grown-up son. There are layers to this role, and I’ve never done such a character before, so I’m really enjoying the process.”
The actress also had words of appreciation for the makers. “They are kind and humble. Working with them is a great experience. Their banner has given audiences realistic tales like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Choti Sarrdaarni, Teri Meri Doriyaann, and Deewaniyat. This one looks equally promising.”
Having made her debut with Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman in 2016, Naina has since appeared in Kundali Bhagya, Suhaagan, and Jamuniya, steadily establishing herself as a talented and versatile actress on television.
