Now you will be able to withdraw PF funds easily from ATMs; PM Modi may soon launch this Central Government scheme..
EPFO: The Employee Provident Fund (EPF) is a retirement savings scheme wherein both the employee and the employer contribute a portion of the employee's monthly salary. This accumulated amount can be withdrawn upon retirement or in the event of job loss. Now, significant news has emerged for salaried individuals. The Central Government is currently preparing to integrate the PF system with banking gateways. This will enable people to easily withdraw their PF funds using ATMs and UPI. Let's explore this in greater detail...
**Withdraw PF Funds via ATM**
The bureaucratic complexities and paperwork that have persisted for years are soon to become a thing of the past. To withdraw PF funds, individuals will no longer need to make repeated rounds of government offices or get entangled in cumbersome paperwork. The Central Government is set to implement a system that will allow PF funds to be withdrawn directly from ATMs. This process will be just as simple as withdrawing money from a regular bank account.
**PM Modi May Launch the Initiative Soon**
According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch this initiative shortly. Essentially, your PF account will function just like your regular bank account. Under the 'EPFO 3.0' initiative, the process of linking PF accounts with banking gateways is currently underway, which will allow you to withdraw funds directly via ATMs or UPI at any time.
**How to Check Your PF Balance?**
To check your PF balance, you need to send an SMS to 7738299899. Simply type an SMS in the format 'EPFOHO UAN ENG' within your messaging app. Here, you can replace 'ENG' with the first three letters of your preferred language. Once typed, send the SMS. You will then receive information regarding your PF balance directly on your mobile phone. Alternatively, you can place a call to 9966044425 from your registered mobile number. The call will disconnect automatically, and shortly thereafter, you will receive your PF balance details via SMS.
