What has Grok predicted for the winner of Oscars?

As the 98th Academy Awards nears, audiences are the most curious about the winner of the Best Picture category, where according to Grok’s predictions, a razor-sharp contest has emerged between two powerhouse films.

A head-to-head competition stands between Paul Thomas Anderson’s political action epic One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama Sinners, led by Michael B. Jordan.
According to Grok, the predictions come from major outlets, talking about the intense uncertainty surrounding the final vote. According to the Los Angeles Times expert pick, One Battle After Another holds an advantage, due to its strong performance across the awards.

On the other side stands Sinners, which has built a significant late-season surge according to Variety’s final prediction. The outlet highlights the movie’s 16 nominations, as well as its exceptional critical reception, leading to a 97 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Several other notable films remain in contention, though they are viewed as longer shots at this stage. These include The Secret Agent, praised by some critics as the highest-scoring entry at 98 percent and a frequent “should-win” choice among reviewers; Sentimental Value; Train Dreams; Hamnet; Frankenstein; and additional entries such as Bugonia, F1, and Marty Supreme.

The 2026 Best Actor race pits Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme, against Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent. Chalamet led early with critics and Globes wins, but Jordan's SAG surge makes him the slight favorite.
