Peter Crouch says 'it's the worst thing' as he makes Abbey Clancy 'arguments' admission

Peter Crouch has candidly discussed "arguments" with his wife Abbey Clancy, confessing that one particular issue is "the worst". The former England striker first met Abbey in a Liverpool bar back in 2006.

The pair tied the knot in 2011, celebrating their nuptials with over 120 friends and family at the lavish Stapleford Park in Leicestershire. Four years ago, the smitten couple renewed their vows in an enchanting bohemian-style ceremony on a private island in the Maldives.

Now, they reside in Surrey with their four children and a collection of pets. They frequently share insights into the ups and downs of married life on their joint podcast, The Therapy Crouch.

In the most recent episode, 44-year-old Peter disclosed that the couple often have disagreements over their schedules. This revelation came after Abbey accused Peter of "secretly" adding events to their shared calendar.

She explained that they have a "rule" that neither of them can add anything to their diary without first consulting their PA. Speaking on their podcast, she said: "There's a million things in the diary each day you secretly put in.

"There's a rule in the house. You're not allowed to put things in the diary. There's a group called diary info, anything that goes in the diary has to go in there, and then Claire will put it in the diary and if it clashes with anything, she will tell us."

Peter responded by suggesting that there's a "miscommunication" between them, stating: "We need to just align ourselves a bit more."

The former Liverpool striker continued: "Diary is like the worst thing, isn't it, for us? The most arguments are over diaries. I hate diaries. I remember when I used to go through life without them. It was so much better."

Meanwhile, Abbey, 40, has recently spoken candidly about a physical characteristic of Peter's that "knocks" her "sick". During a conversation about male grooming, or "manscaping," the model revealed a physical trait she finds off-putting in men.

In a podcast episode last month, Peter shared his opinion that men should embrace grooming practices in this "day and age", a sentiment the Liverpool-born Abbey supported. Abbey, who also voiced her aversion to hairy backs, pinpointed another body area she prefers to be maintained.

In an amusing revelation, Peter admitted he had "been guilty of that" himself. Peter declared: "I think a man should be manscaped in this day and age," with Abbey responding in agreement.

She stated: "I do, and also long underarm hair that's like five inches long. It just knocks me sick."

Peter acknowledged: "I've been guilty of that. You've told me a few times."

Abbey shot back: "Yes, you have, and it's pin straight, pin straight and like that long."

He countered: "I only notice it when I go on holiday, and the other one is hairy nips. Well not...I only get like two really long hairs". When it was pointed out that these types of hair can look like "spider's legs", Peter confirmed that they "gotta go".

He went on: "You don't think about it, and then you go on holiday and go, 'Ooh, god, yeah, I'm on holiday', and you go, 'Ooh f*****g hell."

Peter has also revealed why his wife of 15 years continues to use her maiden name. During an earlier episode, he explained that Abbey is "legally" registered as Crouch.

He even admitted that he had occasionally been wrongly addressed as "Mr Clancy" by hotels, describing the mix-up as "quite emasculating" and something he doesn't appreciate "at all".

Peter commented: "Well, you know, it's quite emasculating, I think, when... it certainly happens to me when I... sometimes, if I've booked a hotel.

"Oh, I'll ring down and then, like, usually in a different country, and they'll call me Mr Clancy. I've been called Mr Clancy on a few occasions. It's not... I don't like it at all. It makes me feel slightly... yeah, not great."

When it was suggested that his wife "wouldn't be Abbey Crouch", Peter clarified that she is "legally", though "everyone just calls her Clancy". It was highlighted that Clancy served as "like a work name", with Peter adding that it helped people recognise "who she was".
