Salaries Rise: Salaries Rise in Haryana from April 1st! Wages Will Now Not Fall Below ₹15,221..

Newspoint

The Haryana government has revised the basic minimum wage rates for unskilled workers engaged in all types of work across the state. These new rates will come into effect on April 1, 2026. According to a notification issued by the Haryana government, this revision has been carried out under the provisions of the ‘Code on Wages, 2019’. The revision is based on recommendations submitted by a committee constituted to review wage levels.

The notification further states that the minimum wage rates represent the basic rates of minimum wages, which employers are not permitted to split into various components as allowances. The full impact (100% neutralization) of any increase or decrease in the Consumer Price Index numbers shall be applied on a pro-rata basis. This adjustment in wages will be implemented in accordance with the procedure outlined in the ‘Code on Wages Rules, 2026’. The minimum wage rates currently being fixed or revised will not be adversely affected by this linkage; that is to say, wages shall not fall below the rates currently being established or modified.
