In his note, he expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he has received over the years, wishing his listeners a Happy New Year. He wrote that he would no longer be accepting new assignments as a playback vocalist, calling time on what he described as a “wonderful journey.”

Arijit also emphasized his desire to see fresh talent take centre stage in the industry. While stepping away from Bollywood playback singing, he reassured fans that his musical journey is far from over. The singer clarified that although he will continue creating music, he will not lend his voice to Bollywood films once he fulfils his current commitments.
