Strictly star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's family life – movie actress daughters and hidden wife
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is set to trade in his football boots for dancing shoes as the former professional footballer has signed up to this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Jimmy, 53, was the fourth celebrity to be announced as part of this year's line-up – as fans wait to see if Jimmy's dancing career will be as successful as his football career. Dutch international Jimmy played for clubs including Leeds United, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea before retiring and going on to become a football pundit.
The former footie star has also managed clubs such as Burton Albion and Northampton Town and even served as an assistant coach for the England national team.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Jimmy told the BBC: "Swapping the pitch for the ballroom is certainly not something I’ve done before but I’m looking forward to tackling a fun challenge! Bring on a new type of footwork, with hopefully no own goals."

NicknameJimmy isn't the football star's real name; his birth name is actually Jerrel Floyd Hasselbaink.
He was given the nickname when he signed to Portguese club Campomaiorense in 1995. The club's chairman decided to keep his signing a secret and instead said he had signed a player called "Jimmy", which is where the nickname came from and it stuck.
The football star is a proud dad to four daughters, Miah, 18, Lauren, 16, and Khloe, 11. Jimmy also has a daughter back in Holland. He rarely shares photos of his family on social media, but doesn't skip celebrating his little girls' achievements and birthdays on his Instagram page.
In August this year, Jimmy beamed in a selfie next to his eldest daughter Miah and celebrated her A-level results in a post on his Instagram. He gushed in the caption: "So proud of my daughter @miahhasselbaink on her amazing A-Level results so proud of you and continue reach for the stars I love you" he ended the caption with three red heart emojis and the adorable hashtag "#ProudDad".
Meanwhile, he marked Khloe's birthday with a rare snap of the father and daughter duo on his Instagram in January, showing the pair in a football stadium. He wrote in the caption: "Happy 11th Birthday to my beautiful @khloehasselbaink Never change. I love you" followed by a red heart emoji.
In November last year, Jimmy posted several black and white snaps of himself with his middle daughter, Lauren and wrote in the caption: "16 years of loving you and non stop laughter. Never change, I am so proud of you. I love you @laurenhasselbaink".
Their milestones and academic achievements aren't the only thing that make Jimmy proud, though. As Miah has a flourishing acting career, and has both she and sister Lauren featured in the 2022 adaption for Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical Movie.
Miah also appeared as Young Anna-Mae in Tina The Musical on the West End stage from 2019 to 2020. She also has a role as Athalia in the upcoming movie The Man in My Basement, starring Willem Dafoe and Corey Hawkins.
In January this year, Jimmy revealed he had also become a grandad. He told Football App: "I feel very young. I’m not that happy with my daughter that I’m already a granddad! But no, she’s absolutely beautiful.
"Unfortunately, because they live in Holland, I’ve only seen her once, so there is a lot of FaceTime. It’s a strange feeling because I still have young girls here - 14, 12 and six - and that definitely keeps me young.
"But it’s different - my children, I have to take everywhere with me. My granddaughter, I can love, kiss and give her back to mummy!"
Hidden wifeNot much is known about Jimmy's wife Natalie as Jimmy keeps her completely private.
Jimmy is reported to have married Natalie in 2012 at Cowarth Park in Ascot.
In 2014, he touched upon his wife in an interview with the BBC. He said: "I still live in England, my wife is English and my kids go to school here so that would be the best and easiest option," as he discussed moving his career back to England.
