This Company Causes Concern for Users: Validity of Two Recharge Plans Reduced Simultaneously
BSNL Recharge Plans: BSNL has simultaneously revised two of its recharge plans. Both of these affordable recharge plans will now offer shorter validity periods compared to before.
BSNL Recharge Plans: Telecom companies have devised a new method to burden their users' pockets. Instead of directly increasing the prices of their recharge plans, companies are now reducing the benefits offered within them. The result is that users are compelled to pay more money for fewer benefits. A few days ago, Jio reduced the validity of its ₹195 plan from 90 days to 30 days. Now, the state-run telecom company BSNL has followed suit, simultaneously revising two of its recharge plans. Let's take a look at which two plans have been affected and what changes have been implemented.
BSNL Recharge Plans Revised
The ₹107 Plan: This affordable plan from BSNL has been revised once again within a span of just a few months. Previously, this ₹107 recharge plan offered 200 calling minutes, unlimited data, and a validity of 22 days. Following the recent revision, the validity has been reduced from 22 days to 20 days. When this plan was originally launched, it came with a validity of 35 days. Through successive revisions, the validity of this plan has now dwindled to just 20 days.
The ₹197 Plan: Much like the ₹107 plan, the validity of the ₹197 plan has also been reduced. Previously, this plan offered 300 calling minutes, unlimited data, and 100 SMS, along with a validity of 42 days. Following the recent revision, the validity has been reduced to 35 days. This means that users will now receive one week less validity with the ₹197 plan. Jio Has Also Revised Its Plan
BSNL is not the first company to revise its recharge plans. Prior to the state-run BSNL, the country's largest telecom operator, Jio, had also updated one of its plans. Previously, Jio's ₹195 data pack offered a validity of 90 days. Following the revision, the validity of this plan has been reduced by 60 days, and it now comes with a validity of just 30 days. However, there has been no reduction in the data allowance or other benefits included in the plan. It is worth noting that for quite some time now, reports have been circulating that telecom companies may hike the prices of their recharge plans due to rising operational costs.
