Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner 'walked out of Oscars for an hour' after he was mocked
Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner reportedly went 'missing' from the Oscars for an hour after he was relentlessly mocked at the Academy Awards on Sunday evening. The actor was nominated for his movie Marty Supreme.
He was meant to be the front runner for the Best Actor gong, but comments he made about ballet and opera angered fans.During an interview about preserving cinema, he said: "I don't want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it's like, 'Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore.'"
He quickly added: "All respect to all the ballet and opera people out there," but the damage was done and Timothee found himself heavily criticised by the ballet and opera communities and the wider audience.

During the Oscars, Timothee was the butt of many jokes. As he opened the show, host Conan O'Brien said: "Security is very tight tonight. There’s concerns about attacks from the ballet and opera communities."
Elsewhere, him and Timothee shared a joke when Conan said: "We’re vibing, right?" to the actor, before adding: "He doesn’t think so." Things turned even more awkward when a winner referenced the drama.
Alexandre Singh, who won Best Live Action Short Film for Two People Exchanging Saliva, said: "We believe art can change people’s souls. Maybe it takes ten years, but we can change society through art, through creativity, through theatre and ballet — and cinema."
Now, a source has claimed that Timothee and Kylie left the ceremony for an hour, only returning before the coveted Best Actor and Best Actress roles. Timothee lost out in his category to Michael B. Jordan.
"Timothee and Kylie were replaced by seat fillers for an hour. It seems like he had enough of being the butt of the jokes. They only came back just before the Best Actress and Best Actor categories were announced," a source toldThe Sun.
Timothee and Kylie later attended the Vanity Fair after party, with a source claiming they were trying to be "low-key".
"Timothée was swarmed by well-wishers as he arrived. He kept his sunglasses on for most of the night and tried to be low-key, but he stood out like a sore thumb in his white suit. Kylie and him stayed for a while but then left together without being seen," they said.
It was a good night for Sinners, who also won Original Screenplay, Original Score, Cinematography and Best Actor. One Battle After Another won six awards including Best Picture.
