'Too early, he is just 19' Dhanush clears air on son Yatra's acting debut ahead of his film 'Kara' release

As Tamil star Dhanush is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘Kara’, he recently spoke about his elder son Yatra, at the pre-release event. There have been many talks that his son may enter films soon. But the actor made it clear that nothing is decided yet.

Yatra’s entry in filmsAs per a report by Pinkvilla, Dhanush said, “I came into acting at the age of 16 because of my circumstances. He is just 19 now, and I still see him as a kid. I don’t know what he will become yet, it’s too early to say.” His words show that he is not rushing his son to the cinema.

No plans to launch son or direct next filmThere were also talks that Dhanush might launch his son himself. Some even said he could direct that film. But Dhanush cleared this too. He said he has not decided on his next film as a director. Right now, he wants to focus only on acting. He did not confirm any plans about his son’s debut or his own direction.


About ‘Kara’Speaking of his upcoming release, it is set to be an action thriller, which is directed by Vignesh Raja. The story is set in 1991 in Ramanathapuram. Dhanush plays Karasamy, a man who was once a thief. He tries to live a good life but is forced to return to crime. He wants to take back his family's land and complete his father’s last wish. The film also shows the time of the Gulf War between the USA and Iraq. It will release on April 30, 2026.

Dhanush is now busy with many films. He is working with Rajkumar Periasamy, Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, and Mari Selvaraj. He also said that ‘Vada Chennai 2’ will happen.

He will also be seen in ‘D55’, where Mammootty plays an important role. Sreeleela and Sai Pallavi are also part of that film.
