Understanding and Treating Displaced Navel: A Comprehensive Guide
In today's fast-paced lifestyle, individuals often experience stress and pressure, which can lead to disturbances in the navel chakra. This disruption can result from various activities, such as jumping during play, bending carelessly, lifting heavy objects suddenly, or even tripping while walking. Additionally, some people may have a predisposition to navel issues from childhood.
To check for navel displacement, lie down on your back in a relaxed position. Use your thumb to feel for pulsations in the navel area. If the pulsation is slightly off-center, it indicates a displacement.
Symptoms and Effects of Navel Displacement
If the navel shifts upwards, it can lead to dysfunction in the liver, spleen, and stomach, potentially causing respiratory issues and other health problems. Conversely, if it shifts downwards, it may affect the rectum, bladder, and uterus, leading to various complications, including infertility in women.
What to Do When the Navel is Displaced
When experiencing navel displacement, it is advisable to consume light, easily digestible foods. A simple dish like moong dal khichdi is recommended. Additionally, mixing ginger juice with honey and consuming it once or twice a day can be beneficial.
Methods to Correct Navel Position
1. Lay a mat or blanket on the ground and place a plastic ball under your navel while lying on your back for about five minutes. This can help reposition the navel. Afterward, gently roll over and sit up, consuming an amla murabba or a couple of biscuits before standing up.
2. Lie on your back and perform the Padhangushtasana by bending one knee and pulling it towards your mouth, trying to touch your nose to your toe. Repeat this with both legs to help realign the navel.
3. Create a paste of dried amla flour mixed with ginger juice and apply it around the navel, keeping it on for two hours while lying on your stomach. Doing this twice daily can help restore the navel's position.
4. Wearing silver rings on the toes can also help prevent future displacements, as advised by elders.
5. If there is pain associated with the displacement, consuming a mixture of fennel and jaggery on an empty stomach can aid in correcting the navel's position.
