Victoria Beckham's new lipstick is 'stunning, expensive-looking and lasts so long'
Ever since her pop star days in the 90s, Victoria Beckham has been specific about her lipstick. Back then, under stage lights and constant scrutiny, she learned exactly what worked for her, and it turns out that was a colour that is simple. Victoria has always loved a shade that enhanced rather than masked her natural lips. She explained: "I'm quite precise about colour, which led me to my cult-favourite shade of Lip Definer 02, matching my own lips."
That dream of finding a perfectly balanced nude has carried through to Victoria Beckham Beauty, her cosmetics line, which launched in 2019. The original shade, a nudey-pink designed to mirror her own natural lip tone, became an instant bestseller at the time. Now, that same colour has been reimagined in the brand's creamy Posh Lip lipstick range. Victoria said: "It's a rosey-nude I created after years of making custom colours in the makeup chair and is now available to all."
Retailing at £37, the Victoria Beckham lipstick sits at the higher end of the spectrum compared to high-street staples you might pick up at Boots or Superdrug. But it's a price many customers seem more than willing to pay. Across reviews, it's seems this lipstick resonates with fans across generations.
One reviewer, who listed their age as over 60, shared: "The Posh Lip comes nicely packaged, and the lipstick container is really expensive looking. This glides on and makes my lips feel nourished. The colour is really versatile for day or night."
Another customer in the 51 to 60 bracket said: "I love this lipstick! The creamy texture lasts long, and it's absolutely gorgeous. My new favourite lipstick!"
Part of the appeal lies in the details. The lipstick arrives in the brand's signature tortoiseshell casing-something shoppers say is weighty and chic-and the classic bullet shape makes application feel effortless.
One shopper wrote: "Wow! She's only gone and done it again with this stunning lipstick, the colour is amazing and the softness incredible, just amazing quality! Don't get me started on the casing for the lipstick, it is high-end, believe me!"
Beyond the aesthetics, the formula leans into skincare-inspired ingredients. According to Victoria Beckham Beauty, it's packed with benefits including rosehip, coconut and avocado oils to lock in moisture and a pomegranate jobajoba complex said to help with a subtle plump.
It's also fairly versatile. One swipe gives a sheer, barely-there colour, while additional layers build for a more defined look. Even then, thanks to the nourishing oils, it remains soft on the lips. That said, not everyone is convinced by its buildability. One shopper said: "The colour looks pretty in the tube, but there is no pigment. It's more like a balm. Even if you try building it, it's very light."
Of course, that may well be the point. This is, after all, a nude designed to look like a natural lip. For those craving something with more impact, deeper shades like Victoria's top-pick Spice, a mid-tone ginger, or Pose, the mid-toned mauve, could be the better route. The lipstick comes in 11 colours.
And for those who want the full, defined Beckham lip, the matching lip definer waterproof lipliner is available too, retailing at £31.
