Andy Murray joins forces with Ant & Dec as tennis icon speaks out on new venture
Andy Murray has taken his love for golf to the next level by investing in Manors, a luxury UK golf attire brand. Since retiring from professional tennis at the 2024 Olympic Games, the three-time Grand Slam champion has spent most of his time on the golf course, even entering some Pro-Am tournaments.
The former world No. 1 has now joined a star-studded line-up of shareholders backing Manors Golf, including TV stars Ant and Dec, plus footballer Theo Walcott and actor Nicholas Hoult.
Manors was founded in 2019 by Jojo Regan, Luke Davies, and Nick Watts as a lifestyle brand inspired by golf. In 2022, they started a rebrand, moving into performance products. Manors previously raised £2 million across funding rounds in 2023 and 2024 - the latter being when Ant and Dec got on board.
The London-based brand is hoping to use investment to fuel international expansion, with a focus on the US market. After joining the shareholder register, Murray said: "The product is great, but on its own it's not enough.
"They've gone beyond that and created something really special and I truly believe they can escalate from here to build a really successful business long-term."
Managing director Regan said: "We've grown deliberately, building a brand that genuinely resonates culturally while staying relentlessly focused on the fundamentals. This investment allows us to scale with intent and continue pushing golf forward, on and off the course."
Murray is already sponsored by Callaway and has entered another tournament this week, the Sunningdale Foursomes, alongside Eddie Pepperell. The pair also teamed up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The two-time Olympic champion previously shared his hopes of becoming a golf caddy during an appearance on The Romesh Ranganathan Show. "I'm considering becoming a golf caddy, hopefully for a professional golfer at some stage," he said.
"I love golf and if you love that sport, it would be a great job. If you are working with a top golfer and being there when they have a great moment on the course and feeling like you can help a little bit with decisions and things like that, I think it would be a brilliant job."
