Antonio Felix da Costa calls Madrid E-Prix win “a dream day”, watch him celebrate in front of his family

Antonio Felix da Costa went on to claim victory at the Circuito del Jarama with his family members, as well as chief guest King Felipe VI , watching from the grandstands. He used the Pit Boost strategy to perfection and later celebrated his second consecutive victory, which comes after his win in Jeddah (Round 5) last month. Jaguar TCS Racing shared a video to show off the moment, something he clearly deserved as his family cheered him on.

He later shared a video from his post-win celebrations after crossing the finish line, captioning it on Instagram: “DAC SHACK. Celebrating a win in front of your friends and family! #CupraRavalMadridEPrix #FormulaE #Motorsport #Racing.”

Surfer Frederico Morais jokingly called him an “animal” in the comments section. Sharing their experience of watching the race, a fan wrote: “Wow... I almost had a heart attack during those last few laps, I couldn’t even sit down! Great race, master @afelixdacosta.” Another praised the “family’s support”, highlighting how Da Costa celebrated with them as they cheered with equal excitement.

Calling for more such races, one fan also wrote: “It’s time for more races on permanent circuits.”

Speaking after the win, Da Costa said, “Back-to-back wins, a one-two for the team, that doesn’t happen often! Massive congratulations to all the boys and girls back in the UK providing us with these cars. It’s kind of a home race for me; I have a lot of friends and family here and it’s a bit of a dream day. We’re both winners, we both wanted to win, we just got different messages. We’ll work it out. I’m happy for Mitch [Evans], he must have driven an amazing race. I’ve got to go back and watch that because he came from the back! I’m happy with what we executed today, and it’s a dream day.”

The drivers also posed for a group photo with King Felipe VI at the Madrid E-Prix. Sharing images from the venue, Formula E wrote: “A race fit for a King. It was great to have Felipe VI join us in Madrid.”
