Big Surprise! Babar Azam Picks ODI XI Without Any Indian Player

Babar Azam'sODI XI has been revealed by Pakistan star but it's making waves as he left out all Indian stars. None of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah made it.

 

While playing in Pakistan Super League 2026 for Peshawar Zalmi Babar was asked to select his best ODI XI via a video call. The list consisted of a mix of Australia, New Zealand, England, Pakistan and Afghanistan players.

 

The opener choice was Mitchell Marsh

and Travis Head followed by Aiden Markram at number three and Peshawar Zalmi team mate Mohammad Rizwan at four. Rachin Ravindra batted at five and Harry Brook will support at six.

Mitchell Santner and Rashid Khan were chosen for their spin options. For pace attack Babar included Jofra Archer, Shaheen Afridi and Kagiso Rabada

to lead the attack. These are three of the finest quick bowlers in ODIs and known for their pace and wicket-taking abilities.

 

Adding a fun bit Babar added his own name in the list as the 12th man.

The consistency Babar Azam showed in PSL and International Cricket

 

In the entire season Babar Azam was the cornerstone of the Peshawar Zalmi's batting line up as he led Peshawar Zalmi to the final of PSL 2026. Peshawar Zalmi will take on Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final where they will aim for their second title while Babar looks for his first trophy as captain.

 

Babar has had an exceptional season with the bat scoring 500 runs plus and approaching 600 runs as his consistent batting has proved crucial to take his team to the finals. Although he has not won any PSL title with Peshawar Zalmi

in his career so far but he will look to change this in the final against Hyderabad Kingsmen.

 

Babar Azam has been one of Pakistan's finest batter in international cricket across all formats. He has amassed 4366 Test runs 6501 ODI runs, and 4596 T20I runs. He has 32 centuries and 106 half-centuries combined in all the formats.

 

Babar Azam's ODI XI selection has started heated discussions all over the internet for leaving out Indian stars and it's all about personal choices and current form of the players.
