On the other hand, Angel Reese was suspended after she hinted at pursuing a "different direction" and criticized her Chicago teammates in a recent interview last week. Due to the comments she made about her teammates that seemed " detrimental to the team," she was suspended for one half of last week's game.
Additionally, despite vowing not to "settl[e] for the same s–t" this year, Reese assured Chicago Tribune that she would do "what's best for" herself. She stated to the Chicago Tribune that she "may have to move in a different direction and do what's best for me" if the team's prospects don't improve. She did, however, issue an apology for her comments following the team’s victory over Connecticut.
