'I went to every single F1 race in the 2025 season - the total price shocked even me'
F1 devotee Brandon Burgess travelled to every single Grand Prix throughout the 2025 season. And the man from Bournemouth managed to do it while spending just over £20,000.
The F1 season proved to be exhilarating once again, with three drivers still in contention to land silverware by the time the final race rolled around earlier this month. Lando Norris ultimately came out on top as he clinched the title by two points at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Red Bull star Max Verstappen ended the season in second as his four-year reign as champion was ended, with Norris' McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri finishing the year in third.
Burgess gave himself a target of spending no more than £20,000 when he took on the mighty F1 challenge at the start of the season.
And discussing his feat, he explained on his TikTok channel: "The challenge is over and it's time to find out if I hit my target of attending every F1 race this season for £20,000."
Burgess revealed that he stayed in Dubai between the final two races of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi and spent just £1,610 on travel, accommodation, Grand Prix tickets and food during the trip.
That took his total spend across the season to £20,487. But the motor racing enthusiast was delighted with the final figure as he exclaimed: "All joking aside, I'm actually really pleased with that final number.
"I did buy some more expensive things throughout the year where I could have gone cheaper - for example I had some Grandstand tickets when I could have gone for general admission, and I stayed at some nicer hotels where I could have stayed at some cheaper hotels.
"I was still thinking I was going to hit £20,000 and I have gone slightly over. Because it's just under £20,500, if we're rounding to the nearest £1,000, I've done it for £20,000."
Burgess will soon turn his attention to the 2026 F1 season after being handed two free season passes to once again attend every Grand Prix throughout the campaign.
The sports fan was given the tickets after partnering with F1 sponsors Heineken.
And revealing the big news, he told his followers on social media: "Heineken have made the world's first F1 season ticket and they are giving it to me for the 2026 season. It still doesn't feel real saying that. It's made out of carbon fibre so is literally the F1 car of tickets."
