Jake Paul issues major update amid Anthony Joshua fight cancellation fears
Jake Paul has announced he has signed Caroline Dubois to his stable of fighters.
Paul will take on Joshua in Miami next Fridayin a sanctioned heavyweight contest, butfears were raised when the YouTuber was poised to cancel the bout when he took to social media to tease a "major update". Fans believed Paul was about to pull out of a fight which has been widely criticised due to the disparity in abilities.
But instead the influencer announced he has recruited Dubois, sister of former heavyweight world champion Daniel, to his Most Valuable Promotions outfit. "All I want is a fair fight. Even the odds. Joshua brought in Usyk. So only right I bring in Dubois. Had to be done," Paul wrote on social media.
Paul is referring to Joshua's decision to join forces with former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk in Spain after deciding to change his training team ahead of his clash with Paul.
Dubois will feature on next Friday's undercard when she defends her lightweight world title against Camila Panatta.“Signing with MVP is the next step in my career, I'm proud to be under their roster, and I believe they will be able to help me on my Quest for Greatness,” she said.
“The mission must be to become the face of women's boxing. I’m super excited to make my debut on MVP and Netflix on Friday, December 19.

Paul added: "“Caroline Dubois has been the most coveted free agent in women’s boxing and we are thrilled to have her join MVP. She’s a champion, an Olympian and a rising star in the UK and beyond, and she makes her MVP debut Friday, December 19, as she joins the stacked Jake vs.
"While existing and new boxing promoters battle about belts, MVP’s focus on women’s boxing is driven by creating a global brand, with the largest roster of elite fighters, that delivers a product that is unquestionably the best athletes in the sport. Adding an undefeated world champion of Caroline’s caliber is another key piece to that vision. She joins our elite British contingent, and we look forward to providing her the opportunity to continue her rise with an MVP event in the UK in early 2026."
