After building a great team but losing to the Miami Heat in the Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder restructured by sending sixth man of the year James Harden to the Houston Rockets . Now, in Netflix 's Starting 5 series, Harden and Kevin Durant went into great detail about the transaction. They discussed Harden's move to the Rockets in season two of the NBA documentary series. Additionally, Durant also disclosed in a social media video that went viral that then-Miami Heat players LeBron James and Dwayne Wade celebrated Harden's trade.

One of the greatest teams that ought to have won an NBA championship was the 2011–12 Oklahoma City Thunder, featuring James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Kevin Durant. The super team was however dissolved after Harden was traded. Durant, a Houston Rockets superstar, recently explained how their opponents handled Harden's contract.

In a widely shared video, Durant asserted that some of the NBA stars reportedly applauded Harden on joining the Rockets, but they did it out of relief. Other teams were afraid of the Thunder, according to the two-time NBA champion.

He said:

“He pissed me off. It's like Braun and D-Way and so many dudes around the NBA sent a tweet song like congrats to my bro James.. He got his like he went to Houston. He was gonna kill it when they were just happy that we weren't together…”




KD then continued during the Starting 5 promo:

“No way was I so happy.. I know Bron there was so f*cking happy that we wasn't together no more cuz we was on the a*s.. Everybody to leave was like man James. I'm so happy you and you said man. You gonna kill it throw my bro, I was like shut the f*ck up…”

He added:

“Yeah, I just I just f*cking scared. Yeah, I knew he was on the way…”

Durant and Harden shared playing time with the Brooklyn Nets from 2021 until 2022. They finally embarked on separate journeys after their Nets team featuring Kyrie Irving never managed to achieve their complete potential.

Tyrese Haliburton also contributed to the Netflix series' promo. He then talked candidly about his mental health problems over the season. In an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated, Haliburton discussed what it was like to feel underappreciated after the Olympics.

He further said that the mocking he received on social media had troubled him. He then added that he was in a shadowy place and said:

“I was in a dark place. My joy for basketball just wasn’t there.”




He no longer played with the same reckless confidence, and his stats fell suddenly. He then stated:

“And I’m just such a guy who, basketball, I love the game.. I love basketball. I feel like I’m going to be around basketball for the rest of my life. I am just one of those guys, and [the joy] just wasn’t there.”

Haliburton said that he believes he will be fully recovered. Right now, he seems happy.
