Rawalpindi Hit Hard as Naseem Shah Misses PSL 2026 Due to Side Injury

Newspoint

Fast bowler Naseem Shah has unfortunately been sidelined from the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 due to a side injury, which means he won't be able to participate in any form of cricket for an indefinite period. This injury occurred during the match between Rawalpindiz and Karachi Kings, where Naseem managed to bowl just 2.2 overs, conceding 26 runs and taking one wicket.

The medical team from Rawalpindiz assessed Naseem and later confirmed that the young speedster will miss the rest of the prestigious 20-over tournament. The franchise made this announcement through an official media statement on Tuesday, April 07. They have yet to announce a replacement for the pace bowler.

In their statement, the franchise expressed their support for Naseem during this challenging time. They are committed to helping him recover quickly from his injury, as his presence in the squad is invaluable to the team's morale. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, the team remains optimistic about seeing Naseem back on the field, stronger than ever.
