The 14-year-old reached his hundred in just 55 balls, putting on a thrilling display of fearless batting. His fastest Youth ODI century, however, remains the 52-ball hundred he scored against England during a bilateral series in 2025.

This was Suryavanshi’s fourth century in Youth ODIs, bringing him level with fellow Indians Shubman Gill and Vijay Zol. Former India Under-19 captain Unmukt Chand continues to hold the national record with five centuries.

Batting first, Suryavanshi put India firmly in control with a dominant 142-run partnership off just 90 balls alongside captain Ayush Mhatre. After carefully negotiating the opening overs on a pitch with early moisture, the young opener switched gears and attacked the England bowlers at will, striking nine fours and eight sixes on his way to the milestone.

Suryavanshi’s remarkable innings finally came to an end at 175 runs off just 80 deliveries, leaving the crowd in awe.
