India delivered a spectacular moment during the third T20I against New Zealand at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, all thanks to an incredible catch by Hardik Pandya. In the early stages of the innings, Harshit Rana bowled a full, angled delivery that tempted Devon Conway to go for a shot over the covers.

Unfortunately for Conway, he mistimed it, sending the ball toward mid-off. But Pandya was quick on his feet; he dove backward, fully extending himself, and pulled off a breathtaking catch to send the New Zealand opener packing. The crowd erupted with excitement, and it gave India a crucial early breakthrough in the match.

Harshit Rana Holds the Edge Over Devon Conway

Devon Conway's struggles against Harshit Rana have become a hot topic during this tour. In five innings, Conway has faced 27 balls, managing to score only 19 runs and getting out every single time. Interestingly, the first three times he was dismissed happened during the ODI series, where Rana consistently found a way to outsmart the New Zealand opener.

This trend has carried over into the T20Is, highlighting Rana's dominance in their matchups. Conway's average against Rana is a mere 3.80, with a false-shot percentage of 28.5, reflecting the intense pressure he faces in every encounter.

India Restrict New Zealand to 153

India delivered an impressive bowling display, limiting New Zealand to just 153 runs in the second T20I. Harshit Rana made an impact right away, taking out Devon Conway in the very first over. Rachin managed to hit a boundary but was quickly dismissed by Hardik Pandya in the following over. Jasprit Bumrah then struck again, sending Tim Seifert back to the pavilion, leaving New Zealand in a tough spot at 36 for 3 during the powerplay.

Phillips and Chapman attempted to stabilize the innings with a 50-run partnership, but Ravi Bishnoi stepped in to break the momentum, claiming two vital wickets and finishing with impressive figures of 2/18. Daryl Mitchell found it hard to get going and was also dismissed by Hardik Pandya.

Mitchell Santner did add some late runs with three fours and a six, but New Zealand just couldn’t find their rhythm. Bumrah, back in the lineup, wrapped up a fantastic spell with 3/17, keeping the scoring in check throughout the innings.
