Talk of India debut grows

His sheer brilliance has even resulted in him being discussed for a future national call-up. Reports have already emerged stating that the young batter is already in line to get an Indian debut in the near future.

However, Rajasthan Royals coach Vikram Rathour suggests patience. He wants the youngster to enjoy his cricket without any external pressure.

Rathour had said:

"When they [India selectors] feel is the right time for Sooryavanshi to get into the team, I'm sure he'll be in the team. To forecast or predict that is not the right thing. Let's just allow him to play cricket. He's playing well, and is enjoying. If he keeps playing well, then he'll make it to the Indian team,"

The statements above is a mature approach towards handling young talent, who are put on the national map with their impressive performances.

For now, though, all focus must be on Sooryavanshi and his continuing run of good form in IPL 2026. The loss might be a disappointment, but his response in the moment speaks volumes about his determination to win and this is a mindset which he must carry with him in future games if he desires to have more such opportunities coming his way.
