Amarnath Yatra 2026 registration: How to apply online, where to find application form, eligibility rules and all other details
Amarnath Yatra 2026 is scheduled to begin from July 3. If you are also planning to go on the religious pilgrimage this year, then you can register for the same. The registration process for the Amarnath Yatra 2026 opens on April 15. The devotees can now apply online via the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board website or offline from over 550 designated bank branches across India. The main eligibility criteria for Amarnath Yatra is age. The devotees are required to be of age between 13–70 years and they also need a Compulsory Health Certificate issued after April 8, 2026.

How to apply for Amarnath Yatra 2026
The devotees can register for the Yatra via the official Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) website. They can go to the 550 designated bank branches across India, including SBI, PNB, ICICI, Yes Bank, and Axis Bank for offline registration. The application form and medical certificate format are available for download on the SASB portal. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with slots closing seven days before the scheduled date of travel.
Routes to the Amarnath Cave
The devotees can select in between the two routes to the holy Amarnath Cave.
* Pahalgam Route (48 km): Longer but gradual, recommended for first-time yatris.
* Baltal Route (14 km): Shorter but steeper, suited for experienced trekkers.
Also, this year the Amarnath Yatra will begin with advanced safety measures such as RFID tracking cards for all pilgrims, accident insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh, and expanded accommodation facilities at Baltal, Nunwan, Srinagar, and Chanderkote. Pre-paid booking systems for ponies, palkis, and porters will also be available.

- Age Limit: Only individuals aged 13 to 70 years are eligible.
- Pregnant Women: Not permitted if pregnancy exceeds six weeks.
- Medical Certificate: A Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued after April 8, 2026 is mandatory.
