Best guns to use in Warzone right now for Season 1 Reloaded

Newspoint

The Season 1 Reloaded update for Warzone has brought with it a bunch of changes to the weapon meta, which means one thing - it’s time to swap out your loadouts to the new best guns on the block.

Whether you’re someone who likes to play up close and personal or pick off opponents from afar, there are plenty of Warzone weapons to suit your playstyle. Some Assault Rifles in particular are now absolute demons and tearing through armour and knocking enemies in a flash, provided you know which attachments to pair them with.

Below, I’ll walk you through the best five weapons to be using in Warzone right now as well as the best loadouts to pair them with:

M15 Mod 0

The M15 Mod 0 is perhaps the weapon that’s seen the most love in the Season 1 Reloaded update with most of its stats now making it the firm top spot for long-range play. Its bullet velocity, damage and range all saw significant boosts, resulting in a lightning-fast time to kill at distance.

On paper, the M15 Mod 0 can now take down enemies inside 51m in 624ms, while that increases only slightly to 858ms at anything farther away. Warzone Meta suggests pairing the weapon with the following attachments for the best results:

  • Optic: Greaves Accuspot 3x

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor

  • Barrel: 16” Reticulated Barrel

  • Magazine

: Bowen Bulwark Mag

  • Stock: Bowen Linchpin Stock

  • MXR 17

For something that’s more reliable at close range, I’d recommend the MXR 17. This weapon appears to be fairly underrated with only a 2.8% pick rate, but it’s actually capable of downing enemies in 600ms inside 35m if you can nail the recoil pattern.

That recoil can be pretty gnarly, so it’s worth pairing the gun with some attachments that can keep it in line. These are the ones I’d recommend equipping:

    • Muzzle: Redwell-90 Compensator

    • Magazine: Vault Extended Mag

    • Rear Grip:

    Fissure Grip

  • Stock: Greaves Covenant Stock

  • Fire Mods: Recoil Sync Unit

  • DS20 Mirage

The DS20 Mirage is another great choice for close quarters fights, if more popular than the MXR 17 at a 19.9% pick rate. It’s easy to see why with its 35m range pushing under that 600ms TTK slightly, but holding a respectable 792mm between 35 and 60m.

This is a great option for Warzone given most firefights usually take place at this medium range. It falls off a tad past 70m, but so do most assault rifles - and it can be used to your advantage if used in the right scenarios.

    • Optic: EAM Dual Zoom

    • Muzzle: Monolothic Suppressor

    • Barrel: 17.1” Abdicator Barrel

    • Magazine: Griffon Reserve Extended II

    • Rear Grip: A1-C Control Grip

    Sturmwolf 45

Now for a great SMG pick, the Sturmwolf 45 is a popular choice among much of the Warzone community. It’s an absolute machine at close quarters, mincing enemies in as quick as 558ms at anything up to 15m.

Damage takes a bit of a drop up to 2m, but remains remarkably competitive. There’s a cliff at anything after that though, so make sure you’re playing in and around buildings with this weapon to get the most out of it.

I’d pair it with the follow attachments to get the Sturmwolf 45 to its most effective:

    • Barrel: 14.8” Perigee Barrel

    • Underbarrel: Envoy Foregrip

    • Magazine: B-45 Roar Drum

    • Rear Grip: Selene Rover Grip

    • Stock: Itinerant Light Stock

    SOKOL 545

Last up, we have an LMG for the mix. Plenty of players will automatically write off LMGs for Warzone given their heinous effect on movement speed, but they can be just as lethal as an Assault Rifle in the hands of the right player.

The SOKOL 545 maintains impressive damage throughput up to ranges of 43m, taking enemies from 100% to 0% health in as little as 617ms. The weapon remains effective up to ranges of 65m before its damage falls off a larger cliff, making it one of the most competitive weapons in its class.

Combine it with these attachments for the best setup:

    • Optic: EAM Dual Zoom

    • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor

    • Barrel: 18.2” Parlous Heavy Barrel

    • Stock: Taction Control Stock

    • Fire Mods: Suffer Spring
