Brits can save more than £700 on their broadband bills by ditching major providers like Sky and Virgin Media. There are also three months of free broadband up for grabs when switching to Community Fibre.

The savings are available in a new flash sale offering free service on its 12 and 24-month contracts. According to the brand, customers making the switch to Community Fibre during the three-month free deal couldsave up to £762on their broadband bills versus the national providers.

This is based on national providers' pricing on 2.5Gbps or equivalent speeds sourced on January 7, according to the brand. What sets Community Fibre apart from its competitors is that it promises no mid-contract price rises when signing up before the flash sale ends on February 2.

This means rates at sign-up are locked in until 2027 on its 12-month contracts, 2028 on 24-month packages. Community Fibre offers a range of speeds from 100Mbps for £19 per month to a whopping 5Gbps for £63 per month, the latter of which is said to be 272 times faster than the UK average.

There are plenty of mid-range budget options with fast speeds, including 300Mbps for £21 and 1Gbps for £25. New customers will also pay no setup fees as well as an inclusive router, with those signing up for the fastest plans receiving a 'next-gen' WiFi 7 router.

Community Fibre plans rival major brands such as Sky, where the fastest option available is 900Mbps for £35. Virgin Media's comparable plan is Gig1 Fibre Broadband for £31.99, but this also includes a free Netflix subscription.

A catch is that Community Fibre only services London, so customers are advised to use the brand's postcode checker to see if they're eligible for the deal. Community Fibre is also part of the new One Touch Switch scheme, meaning it will contact customers' current provider to process the switch on their behalf.

Community Fibre has achieved an impressive 4.7-star rating on Trustpilot after almost 80,000 reviews. Of these, 90% of customers have awarded it a perfect five stars. One said: "The best broadband service and staff. Been with Community Fibre for two years and just renewed for a further two years as their customer service is second to none. No one else gets close on service, price and speeds."

Another said: "I am completely satisfied with the fast setup service and the quality and speed of the internet bandwidth. I highly recommend it. The installation and commissioning engineer was very friendly, skilled and fast."

This customer left a four-star review due to 'some interruptions' to their service. They said: "The internet service is quite OK, but still experiencing some interruptions, mostly in the evening."

While this glowing review says: "It was a very smooth experience. The engineer was very professional, and he explained everything in detail. The installation was done a day after my order."
